Shockline, Vol. 3
ZatroMinic, Dangelovs, MASH (EG), Myron Eugene, Freshcobar, Make Free
ZatroMinic opens Shockline, Vol. 3 with 'Pikaboo', a label debut that snaps with clipped bass stabs and a rubbery low end, its swung garage shuffle keeping the floor off-balance. The restless percussion and a menacing synth line push the energy into dark, aggressive territory, a track that earns over 44K streams across its catalog and has earned 8 Beatport DJ chart placements. This is the Brazilian project of Carlinhos de Barros, whose previous work has appeared in a Rey & Kjavik podcast set, and it sets a nervous, playful tone for the compilation. The compilation is designed for a DJ to move through the night's arc, from the warm-up's swung garage shuffle in 'Pikaboo' to the peak-time energy of 'Move Your Body' and 'The Channel', before cooling into the closing bounce of 'Spark'. Each track offers a distinct floor moment, yet the set holds together as a single journey. For a DJ programming a versatile house set, Shockline Vol. 3 provides the build, the release, and the landing. Dangelovs follows with 'Grishmaped', where a vocal chop hook sits over warm chord pads and soft-focus keys, lifting the mood into an upbeat, driving groove. This track bridges the gap between the warm-up energy and the peak-time drive, bringing a robotic, pulsing momentum to the middle of the set. Dangelovs, a Russian DJ and event organizer, has shared stages with Tocadisco and Nomvula, and his ability to blend Indie Dance and Melodic Techno grooves allows him to constantly surprise the audience with his unique musical material. MASH (EG) brings 'Move Your Body' through a robotic pulse and frequent bass tones that anchor the groove, with percussion present throughout to create a cool and playful atmosphere. This debut on Warbeats Records brings Cairo's underground grooves into the label's catalog, and its optimistic mood fits a late-night drive. The Channel pairs Myron Eugene and Freshcobar, a pulsing, uplifting cut that rides a deep house undercurrent, before Make Free closes with 'Spark', a bouncy, robotic-tinged finale that keeps the energy high. Freshcobar, a Southern California producer and the force behind NOS Recordings, brings a career that has accumulated over 3.1M streams and 72 charts entries, alongside 67 DJ chart placements, alongside 138 total supports. Myron Eugene, a resident across San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Diego, has notched 13 charts, 21 DJ charts and 6 charted tracks in his career. Make Free, from Belgorod, has earned a Beatport DJ chart placement. All six artists are making their debut on Warbeats Records with this compilation. The Shockline series continues its run of introducing fresh talent, with each track representing a different entry point into the label's catalogue. This third volume reinforces the series' role as a platform for new names, pairing emerging producers with a label known for opening space.
